2019 September 9 to 20

Still no news from the front of solar activity. Based on the number of spotless days during the past minimum of 2008 – 2009 and supposing cycle 25th will behaves similarly to 24th, we should expect some signs of activity for next spring 2010, unlikely we’ll see something relevant before.

Activity continues to be significant in H alpha, though, in terms of several fine prominences visible all around the limb, some of them easily to catch even in calcium K light, a wavelength where my new toy, a Tecnosky 115 mm triplet, is very well corrected.

Particularly interesting is a quiescent curtain partly detached that I imaged on 19th and 20th, one of the most relevant appeared during this minimum.
